"I went to law school. I'm a recovering lawyer. Sorry. And we had a study group...."

Chris Christie talks about how it feels to be a first-year law student in a video clip that becomes a story of another student's descent into drug addiction.

Scared? I doubt it. Intimidated by the work load maybe. Or maybe just irritated by it.

And his story about the lawyer becoming an addict becomes the basis for more funding for drug treatment? His own story illustrates that more doesn't necessarily mean more effective, since the lawyer of his story was in and out of rehab for 10 years before OD'ing.

"I'm a recovering lawyer" is a tasteless way to begin an anecdote about an addict.

15 times more people die from obesity-related diseases each year than they do from prescription opiate overdoses. Does he have a 3-point plan for the government to fix that too?

From law student to drug addict is not necessarily a "descent".

Here's the Christie presidential run in a nutshell. The Christie post is up at 7:30 AM; Over 16 hours later there are a mere 4 comments, 2 by a single person, all of them critical of Christie. The fat guy sleeps with the fishes.
