And John Kerry saw that it was good.

"That was good," said John Kerry as he was led to his car by Hoshyar Zebari, the Iraqi foreign minister, after a 100-minute meeting with Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki and other senior Iraqi officials at Maliki's "carefully maintained compound, which was the scene of an incident in December 2008 when a shoe was thrown at President Bush."

Over Bush will I cast My shoe...

Peace in our time...

Kerry on Syria 2009: “Syria is an essential player in bringing peace and stability to the region.”

Kerry on Israel/PA peace talks: Too Surreal to quote...

There are few more delusional people (and that's saying a lot) in the diplomacy business than John Kerry

If there were 50-60,000 American troops (ask Gen. Petraeus what the "right" number would be) with all the equipment and munitions still there and maintained, the US Gov't could tell the Iraqis and other interested parties this that and the other, and they would listen and tell their respective constituents, "What else could I do? The Americans made me do it!", and they could all work together.

The U.S. having bugged out, there is now not much reason for any of them to do more than make a pretense of listening and try to keep a straight face while doing so.

Stolen from Instapundit without a link because you know where it is, but this was too good a summary to leave behind:

Fortunately, we have Smart Diplomacy, implemented by Top Men and Top Women.

Top men, I tell you

And Kerry did pass his hand across the troubled waters, and stilled the waters. And Kerry led the Shia leaders and the Sunni leaders to drink from the stilled waters, and they too, saw that it was good. And Kerry did reveal to these men the Truth, that is, that they face a common enemy, verily, which is the invisible, the element carbon, which blind men continue to unleash upon the earth, and they saw the good and decent in him.

Since the 2000 election the Democrats have put up John Kerry, whose credentials as a foreign policy dunce are daily displayed, and two others (counting Hillary 2008 and 2016) even more hopeless when it comes to adult judgment.

Question for Democrats. Just because your party symbol is a jackass, do you really believe that you have to nominate jackasses for president?

That headline captures the arrogance, denial of reality and bullshit of John Kerry perfectly.

Very clever, Ann.

Unless we consider the sentiment of such diverse groups as Code Pink and perhaps even what Jane Fonda might think on the one hand, and the interests of the Ayatollah and Hezbollah on the other, I don't think we'll get anywhere with this peace thing.

Let the international community do its work, people.

The Sunnis hate the Shia heretics who find their identity in being martyrs. Like Avis, the Shias are second and they try harder.

The Sunnis are masters at conquest and brutality. The Shia want to be the brutalized ones. So why the USA and the EU ever wanted to settle them down into a peaceful co-existence was always about gaining oil contracts and moderating oil prices.

But the Fracking New World Energy Order is making the Western world start to lose interest in the ancient internecine Arab war.

For the record, it's the Sunnis s that have used the new found oil wealth to sponsor world submission to a terrorism Jihad to convert the world to Islam or else. They are AlQaeda. They did 9/11 to the Great Serpent USA. They are the true Muslims who control Mecca where Mohammed's Moon god black meteorite idol is kept in a small house be worshiped by pilgrims as the only true god.

Kerry is encouraged that the Shia are willing to fight the Sunnis. And he is right. That is good.

And John Kerry stepped down off the mountain, carrying a burning bush in one hand, and a stone tablet (mined from the rocks between his ears) and said, "That was good".

Ol' Lurch tends to say things like that when (a) he marries his second rich heiress; or (b) collects a load of rice "shrapnel" in his backside after dropping a grenade into a basket of rice and (c) collects his third Purple Heart and a one way ticket out of Nam.

I'm a little dubious of "that was good" emanating from the lips of Jean Fraud Kerry.

I do suspect that these people will succeed in making an already very bad situation considerably worse.

I find the shoe-throwing and the quote from the Psalms to be odd in juxtaposition.

When the Psalmist quotes God as saying "Over Edom I cast my shoe", it is God speaking from a position of victorious triumph.

(Though the Psalmist ends by reminding his audience and God that God is their only hope of victory. While praying to God for help in forth-coming struggles.)

The man who threw a shoe at Bush was not acting from a position of authority and triumph.

Still, the shoe-throwing is a funny memory.

What's funny about this is, that is Obama's excuse.

Keep troops in Iraq? I pulled them out because Maliki made me do it! It's not my fault, it's Bush's fault! Don't blame me!

I'm betting John Kerry was appointed at Hillary's behest, because after four years of him bumbling around it'll make her look like the smartest Secretary of State since Jefferson.

Keep in mind that GW Bush, laughed at by the likes of Althouse, stopped the US from committing a major genocide against the Islam people of the world in the immediate emotional aftermath of 9/11.

Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Pakistan might be very different countries now were it not for his forbearance.

Of course, if the Sunnis and Shias want to kill each other, I say let 'em. I still feel pretty much the way I did on 9/11.
