A nice little meadow.

Glad to see you've been getting out, Madame.

This is part of the Capital City Trail, a 20+-mile bike ride that we do very often. Whenever the weather is decent.

A summer meadow in which
To fall and go to sleep
Rather than continue on your weary way --
Who needs that?

But do you support gayfeather marriage?

I enjoyed meeting Meade yesterday. I usually don't introduce myself, but I'm glad I did it.

And those dogs. (swoon). Perpetual motion machine, the young one.

Sorry to read about Sally Ride!

Looks like ABC got it wrong.. again.

I knew there was something wrong with that statement the morning I read it linked to by Drudge.

I engaged in autodidactism today for hours...so tired but satisfied and enlightened.

Those gaydots are pleasantly exhibiting their best pixels.

Look. I love chip ahoy as well as the rest of you. But the man has a feather growing out of his damned dot.com.

You gonna let him "broadbrush" screw with the pixels as the rest of us pretend he isn't riding his pony, Macaroni, to greener, fly-free pastures?

What will the Wisconsin cows say when their tails fall off?

Did you frolic? Seems a lovely place to frolic. I would have frolicked at once.

I just discovered Heather Wilhelm. Heatherwilhelm.com. Our hostess might be interested in reading her latest contribution to Real Clear Politics. "When did feminism become so embarrassing."

Moooooooooooooo lah!

Autodidacticism. Taught myself to spell it correctly!

How does the meadow-flower its bloom unfold?
Because the lovely little flower is free
Down to its root, and in that freedom bold. - Wordsworth

Letterman is obsessed with the election.

Put some ice on that.

That's so weird..

Yesterday the Yankees acquired Ichiro from Seattle and the next they started a series against them... in Seattle.

Lem the artificially intelligent said...

Actually, it was the same day.

He just had to carry his stuff from his locker to the visitors locker.

Well, now you've taught me about autodidacticism. So I think that means you've also performed heterodidacticism. I'm not sure if that's legal here in Georgia.

A few months ago my husband's uncle was supposed to die. He had cancer all up and down his spine, was put on palliative care, and given a month to live. Part of the palliative care was some kind of mild chemo that was supposed to reduce the pain.

People called. People visited. Everyone said their last words to him. He, being a man of great faith and in great pain, was not afraid of his impending death.

But a month later, he wasn't dead, and he was feeling better. So they did a routine scan at the next doctor's visit, and the cancer was gone.

Gone. Completely. No trace.

Oh, and I share that because I'd always heard of that kind of thing, but it had never happened to anyone I knew.

Pleasure meeting you, Madman. Delighted to learn your real name and... think, think... that name sounds familiar. Ah yes - we've crossed paths on other internet sites. And I like both of you!

Also -- very impressive helicopter parenting from your paddle board.

Wow! Freeman, thanks for sharing that.
