"Governor Scott Walker set to ease home-brew restrictions."

Hey, this recall battle is getting serious.

Release the beer!

Wascally wabbit! Beer for Wisconsin is like surfboards for California.

My vague recollection is that there has also been a relaxation of rules for small distilleries as well in Wisconsin.

Well, that's great. I will note, however that easing restrictions like this should not require a recall. Home distilling of spirits ought to be next. Look how much beer consumers have benefited from having more players and better beer. Granted, large producers of mediocre to crummy beer haven't had as much of a benefit, but they always have the option to make decent beer.

A friend of mine has home brewed for several years and is preparing to go commercial with a micro brewery at one bar only. I'm growing some hops for him in my backyard. (I have 2.1 acres.) If it goes well, I might become a big time hops farmer. :)

That's what democracy looks like.

Get the electorate drunk and have your way with 'em.

Worked great for the Demos until that whole Fort Sumter thing...

Brewing falls under state laws, but if you want to distill liquor, you need federal permits.

Trouble, oh we got trouble,
Right here in River City!
With a capital "T"
That rhymes with "B"
And that stands for Brew,
That stands for Brew.
We've surely got trouble!
Right here in River City,
Right here!
Gotta figger out a way
To keep the young ones moral after school!
Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble...
