A Drudgtaposition.

A reader points to this morning's photo-juxtaposition on the Drudge Report:

I don't find this funny in any way, but it is artful — the flow of emotional heat, from cool to hot, the position of the mouths from closed to open. I love the photo of the Greek protester, capturing the peak instant of barbaric yawp between iconic fist salutes.

UPDATE: I feel like Drudge responded to my post, by updating with a more interestingly hand-related juxtaposition centered on Chavez:

Seems more likely that Drudge is capturing both Hillary and Chavez in poses reminiscent of Mussolini. Drudge's point is that Hillary (and the left in general) has dictatorial and fascist tendencies ("We don't need to provide any stinkin' justifications for this war. You better support this Libyan war because we say so.).

Must be one of "those days"...also on Drudge this morning, just above the screen shot of the page, is Geithner saying taxes must rise so government doesn't shrink ...

But of course ....

These clowns pretending to run the world by imposing a government on it are hopeless. Everything the government takes over becomes a worthless empty promise run by bureaucrats who WILL NOT DO THEIR JOBS while the lives of everyone dependent upon them is screwed. All government bureaucracies are like computers that take years to process what a private business can process in a day.

Matt Drudge reponds to shameless pandering and witty blogging. You have to wit down...just start spreading some more butter on Matt's toast!

I must say watching the Greeks going apeshit because they don't get anymore largesse is funny. I guess they still don't understand they have no money.

How do you say 'can't get blood from a stone' in Greek?

Steve Koch said...

Yeah, Geithner's statement that taxes on small business have to rise so government does not shrink is absolutely devoid of economic reality. Small business is the engine of job creation. We need to do much, much more to make it easier for small businesses to be created and function (less regulation, less red tape, less government imposed responsibilities, less taxes).

Geithner is bad news and the GOP needs to block any future government jobs for Geithner. He is a corrupt political hack who never should have been approved as the Treasury Secretary.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, but over at RealClearPolitics, I've been watching their chart for President Obama's approval ratings. It has a red line for the % disapproving and a black line for % approving.

President Obama Job Approval

Usually the lines run parallel, sometimes they overlap. Starting about 7/9/10 until 1/3/11 it looks like the base of a phallus, then 1/10/11 until 4/2/11 it forms a "head", and then 4/30/11 until about now a circle was formed, maybe signifying a vagina or an anus (Hello Titus, or keeping with the Greek theme of this post). Or maybe, it just means we are just getting screwed.

When I noticed that this morning, I thought of some Drudge type of headline about Obama's job approval ratings moving in an erratic pattern, and then a screen shot of the chart.

"taxes on small business have to rise so government does not shrink"

Kind of goes along with the Democrats who want to raise taxes so they can hire more government workers to get the unemployment numbers down.

I think I see an Obama/Chavez trend.

Drudge moves these pieces around.

Hugo Chavez may be dying? One never knows why he went to cuba to have a boil on his behind, lanced.

But like PRAVA, THE ORIGINATOR. Stories don't give you the truth. You need to seach the pictures out.

As to the Greeks, the only way this can be solved is by the germans. If they intend to hock their future generations for banksters ... whose lending of money ... is being paid off, here ... Just shows you how gangsters work.

If the germans, however, toss merkel overboard, they can pull out of the EURO. Which will leave the banksters appalled. Since no one will buy the dreck at full market price.

But it makes a good piece of paper transactable between the PIIGS. And, it would also pay DOWN some of the debt. Because the amount owed stays the same. Even when the currency's value goes down the toilet.

The fight? Between the french and the germans. And, the german, merkel, has not guts. Sarkozy is stomping on her ... the way you do fine grapes.

Oh, and to add to the greek "tzuris" ... is that tourism has left their universe. Kid can scream all he wants to. There's no tourists go there to see these "sights.' It's not Woodstock.
