"Apparently, I’m supposed to have sex with Ann Althouse and Glenn Reynolds before I die."

"Or, perhaps, shoot them – which, wouldn’t that violate the New Civility Rules?"

How soon before I can take one of yor courses on the internet? It would solve hyper inflation in legal education. Bill Clinton could teach a course on whether internet ses is sex.

Sex? Still looking for the 'sex' part. Not looking hard, mind you, but looking just the same.

Is there some equivalency between taking a class/course with one of these law profs and having sex?

Because if there is then why don't more people want to attend law school?

I really don't understand how she jumps from "intellectual cross-pollination" to sex.

Therefore, I think she's flirting.

Of course. It's called escalated link whoring. Sure, the next in line has to do more to get the same sort of attention...

find the whole thing odd–can one get a law degree a la carte, travelling around the world and taking classes first from this prof, and then that one? I’m all for intellectual pollination, but how do people find the time/money for this, even if they intend to hang out in academia for the rest of their lives?

The very question I asked yesterday. But given all the blogosphere reaction to the piece, it looks like the author got exactly what she wanted

AA, when mentioned previously:

(((Meade and I both keep a Google alert on my name))) we believed you so no need to continually reaffirm, eh.

You're a self-righteous, paranoid, narcissistic blow hard, pun intended! Who is rapidly running out of relevant topics.

Let's move on, shall we ...

I am now in the GOP camp. My former GF made an offer to join her. Or, forever we will be separate. I am having a lot of bad-luck lately. My consulting went down the tubes. The pizza-placed got sold. I am not traveling. The K-street lunches take up money and no prospects. So, I have joined another camp. Not sure what the future holds. But, there it is: an impact from the Nov. election. I still believe GOP will lose 2012, but now it does not matter. I just want to be with my GF. Politics be damned.

Miss Attila would be wise to consult with Meade and Dr. Helen, respectively, before making overtures.

You are awlays ready with an uplifting message for the folks generous enough to allow you to opine. Shiloh, what can we all say, thank you for commenting and bestowing upon all of us your infinite grace and wisdom.

How is it that, wherever you came from, that those folks could let you go? I think of the crushing sadness and sorrow of that. God bless those people. They must miss you.

Have a wonderful day!!!

You're welcome! :)

The truth shall set you free ...

And sayin' AA is generous is quite a stretch!

take care

My quarrel, of course, was with the verb "take" as applied to the professors themselves, rather than their classes.

And my whimsy was caught by the itinerant law student idea.

I got it Attila Girl. As in, "take me, I'm yours" for $??K per semester.

Joy McCann said...

I didn't mean it THAT way. Of course, if one subscribes to Prof. Reynolds' "higher education bubble" theory, the students at some schools might do well to ensure they aren't being "taken."
