"You know men need lessons, of course."

A completely out-of-context clip for your amusement/puzzlement:

Context to be provided later. Today, I think.

UPDATE: The context. I'm talking about Esquire magazine.

We also need recess when we can go outside and play at rough and tough games. But You are correct in observing that all Men greatly benefit from time spent with another self confident man who is willing to share with them the secrets of a man's strength used in the great games of being a loving husband and loving father. There are no higher callings for a man. In my experience learning these roles requires that we take lessons from other expert men, just like learning dancing requires taking lessons from other expert Dancers. Thank God for fathers, and also for surrogate fathers, if we missed out on getting the first one's attention.

I can’t watch the video right now.

Is it about peeing without making a mess and washing your hands afterwards?

And, putting the seat back down!

What the hell does that mean?

Don't we all need lessons? Role models?

Don't we grow through experience?

Your little laugh and "yeah" at the end were totally cute.

To be honest, Ann, it sounded to me a little like you were trying to fly it both ways, and using "common sense" as the landing strip.

Is "common sense" really the guidestar as to how judges should decide cases?

As a theoretical basis for judicial thinking, is it any improvement at all over a "concept of ordered liberty" or any other historical touchstone?
