Audible Althouse #45.

I hope you have some time to listen to my little podcast. It's about hail, using hail for ice in your drink, drinking way too much in the 18th century, eating leeches in the Outback, sun-crisping frogs and other culinary techniques, caring about a cat trapped in a wall in New York City, waiting for help which doesn't come because the people who could help you seriously think you are trying to commit suicide, subjective perceptions of my blog post about Camille Paglia and how I got uninvited from a dinner, and the subjective perception of time and why time is so different for children from the way it is for us.

And you don't need an iPod to listen to the podcast. (But do you know the Pope has an iPod?) You can stream it right through your computer, here.

Yeah, throwin' down with Camille Paglia really ups your blog diva quotient. I don't remember who won that contest, but I doubt whoever it was got dissed by Camille Paglia.

By striking you down, you have become more powerful than the other divas could ever imagine.

Pancho, the problem is with your software. The solution is to download it or use a different browser.

Pancho, I had the same trouble. Use Netscape Navigator. Works fine. Netscape gives it away free if you don't have it.

The first time I recall a tumor talked about was in the TV movie "Brian's Song" where the Gale Sayers character reveals that Pic had a grapefruit-sized tumor.

And on your time perception topic: "Brian's Song" has these lyrics:

"Hand in hand we’d choose the moments that should last,
The lovely moments that should have no future and no past."

Thanks for the tips. I have a brand spankin' new computer with, I thought, the latest stuff. Goes to show that one man's latest stuff is another's old news.
