"Six months ago Governor Christie and I decided this election was much bigger than any differences we may have had in the past, and we worked very well together."

"The media has speculated on a lot of different things, and since I don’t talk to the press, they go as they go, but I was not behind pushing out him or his people."

Said Jared Kushner, talking to the press.

That Forbes piece on Kushner interested me regarding how the campaign used Facebook and big data to microtarget to fundraise and attract voters. One hundred people in San Antonio. The famous Dem big data campaign got whacked by a newbie.

If not, then why was Christie forced out? And for that matter, is he really out? We've been seeing news reports going back and forth on this, so he may be still in the game all along and there's just some leakers jockeying for position against him.

He recently pledged to finish his term as governor so it suggests he isn't taking any position for at least a year. Maybe he's up for a judicial appointment.

Oh, sure. I find it hard to believe he can just set aside his "differences" with the guy who prosecuted his old man into admitting to 18 felonies no matter how much dad had it coming. But, frankly, I don't give a damn. Christie's been dead to me for a long time.

Gotta agree--Christie proved what he was in the 2012 election. Maybe Trump is shrewd enough to sense how light that man's loyalties really are.

I think it is smart to cut Christie loose, especially following the Bridgegate convictions.

And Kushner is lying about not holding a big enough grudge against Christie- that doesn't pass the laugh test.

Interesting article. $80,000 a day in Trump merchandise. $250,000,000 from donors. Spent about half as
much as the losing campaign.

I would ask anyone who claims that Trump is antisemitic, why he has Jews so close to him in trusted positions. Including, of course, his son-in-law, and, after conversion, his daughter. As someone pointed out in an earlier thread, you don't survive in the NYC real estate market as an antisemite.

I don't think he's anti-Semitic, but I don't think working closely with a lot of Jews or even having close friends who happen to be Jewish necessarily precludes having negative feelings towards Jews. The people I know like that tend to have a lot of "exceptions" (e.g., "damn Italians always pulling crooked crap...my friend Al though, he's ok..."). Sadly, one of my friends' fathers used to say the nastiest things about black people, despite loving his half-black grandchildren very much. I think people like that have a lot of internal turmoil going on.

Trump I don't think is genuinely bigoted towards any group himself.

If Christie had brought in New Joisy for Trump he and Kushner would still be great friends.

Is he saying press reports during the election were incorrect? Tell me this isn't true!
