The Yorkie whisperer.

From a photo-essay at Dogging Meade titled "Mrs. Meade likes the little dogs."

(This was Meade's first outing with the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ70, which is a bigger sort of camera — and it only cost $279. The main camera we'd been using recently — and still use — is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS25. That's only $149. Amazing how cheap these things are these days.)

ADDED: Here's my previously blogged Yorkie encounter, back in January in Austin. Something about Yorkies!

I like the Yorkie Whisperer's hairstyle.

The Irish Setter clearly knows how to showboat.

The husky looks like he/she found something good upon which to snack.

Y'all really need to pull the trigger. Other people's dogs are not like your own dog. It's like you're living in some kind of canine Thailand. Don't be a love tourist.

And Mrs. Meade likes the big dogs, too. How's Zeus these days?

Meade said...

The big dogs like her. Zeus comes over nearly every day to see her. He gets her signature scratch-under-the-chin while gazing deeply into her beautiful blue eyes.

He thinks she's a celebrity.

@Right Wong Conservative

We really do not want a dog. Spending time with other people's dog is best for us. There's no "trigger" to be pulled. We are confirmed dogchelors.

Meade: "He thinks she's a celebrity".

He has it backwards.
Zeus rocks!

It is nearly 7:40 ,y time.

I am still dumbfounded that I got removed forcibly from a Steel Panther line to the show.

They are frightened.

But who is they?

You people, the the, understand but with limitations.

So do I.

So my limitations were breached when I wasn't allowed into the Steel Panther Show May 7 at the fucking Ogden.

My fellow citexons, via their delegates, decided I shouldn't see fucking Steel Panther.

So my allegiance to ...

I used to own a Lumix DMC-FZ20, which was one of those now-defunct bridge cameras (replaced mainly by the 4/3 mirrorless types). I really loved it as a lighter, more convenient alternative to my prefered platform -- a Nikon DSLR. Even though it had only a 5 MP sensor, the Lumix had outstanding performance in most lighting situations, and the Leica optics were first rate.

I gave it away years ago to a friend who, due to a devastating stroke at age 36, had lost the use of her left arm. Before the stroke she had been an enthusiastic art photographer with a hell of a portfolio, but without a strong left hand her favorite camera (some kind of freaky Russia box) was inoperable. So I gave her my Lumix, which is usable one-handed.

The FZ70 I suppose could be considered the FZ20's lineal descendant, though the new camera is a kind of SLR, though without lens interchangeability. What I'd like to know is whether this really is satisfactory, considering the FZ70 is nearly as bulky as a conventional DSLR, but is still limited to its fixed optics.

If it isn't clear I will make it so now:

I wasn't allowed to see Steel Panther.

I had a great, great great guitar tech (Duarte Cee) drive me there (cause every now and then I am cool) and a cab take me home.

What I missed was the show.

Guildofcannonballs said...

Thank God for the cabs, but I am missing my show.

It was because I am an easy target/

Forget about me.

What about Steel Panther?

Yorkies seem to be easily hypnotized by a human who reaches out for them. And they never forget you.

I would never deny I'm drunk, as I was tonight at the Ogden when the moved.

Me.

For Goddamned Steel Panther.

This is a link to a man literally removed by guys younger who weigh more and don't kwow what they don't know

That's only $149.

That's a lot of money these days. I couldn't just walk out and impulse buy something for $149. Maybe you and your other readers can.

Look closely at Harley in the video and you can see he has a cleft palate or some deformity in his upper lip. I've met him and he is a happy little guy.

My Yorkie is a killer - he will lick you to death.
