"What kind of a man is that? Hitting a woman when she’s holding a child in her hands? Breaking her teeth twice in the face! What kind of man is that?"

"Oh, you’re all angry now! You know what, you f*cking deserved it!"

The new Mel Gibson recording.

Down with Mel.

Mel Gibson is a mess. He is mad at her because he believes thatshe owes him love for his generosity and now she refuses to love him. The lawyers handling Mel's mess will do very well this year, but Mel needs to spend the most money on intense counseling so that he can rejoin a social group that will accept him.

Christian conservative here. NOT defending the ugly behavior of Gibson.

Mel Gibson is a flawed imperfect man including being a serious alcoholic.

But what is slowly coming out from non-mainstream news sources is that certain forces within Hollywood and elsewhere conspired to ruin Gibson because he single handedly made "The Passion of the Christ."

This woman was financial induced from Russia (ala Russian spy case) to reel Gibson in. Also, what is not well reported is that on the infamous night that Gibson had his drunken run in with the Malibu police he had been meeting at a restaurant with a top Hollywood "deal maker" to try to make amends. This person plied him with alcohol, encouraged him to drive, had him followed and had the police waiting to arrest him.

This is not to excuse Mel Gibson. He is a simple and flawed man. But this just goes to show you what happens to those who take on the jews who control Hollywood, the mainstream media and many of our other institutions. (I am sure Mrs. Althouse could tell us a thing or two about academia.) It is the truth and it is what is undermining our Christian nation and leading us to socialism.

With all the abundance available to him, with the life he has and he's still so unhappy, so in a rage? Wow.

Tidy has re-issued The Protocols of the Elders of Hollywood. Sorry, it is pure propaganda by another expert deciever. The Jewish People are not hurting anybody anywhere and as a group are the most ethical and honest men I deal with. If you feel somehow threatened by The Jews, then try treating them with common curtesy.

Speaking as a Christian and someone just to the right of center I would agree. But honestly I haven't heard a lot of defense of Mr. Gibson.

I must admit I like many of Mr. Polanski's films (i.e. Chinatown, The Pianist, Frantic) and Mr. Gibson's (The Passion, Braveheart)

Gibson is obviously disturbed and deranged and, worst of all, narcissistic.

He needs to realize that he is not the center of all existence.

Maybe he should accept Christ as his personal savior to show him the way?

Oh wait...

This in no way excuses anything he did, but why was Oksana there taping him instead of getting herself and her child the hell out of that house and to somewhere safe?

she was smart to record him. otherwise it would just be her word against his, and his expensive lawyers' tactics. hopefully a restraining order is enough to keep him away. and he should pay child support, and he shouldnt be able to see the child until a psychologist has okay'd it.

Methadras said...

I'd be pissed if my girlfriend/wife/whatever started using my child as a pawn to extort money out of me and then claiming fear for the life of the child as a means to acquire a restraining order to keep me from seeing my child. Now, would I punch her in the face and break her teeth for doing it, or threaten to kill her and bury her in my rose garden, or yell at her for the way she dresses might get her raped by a pack of niggers? Uh no, but I'd be pretty pissed nonetheless. Women will go to great lengths to fuck a man over especially if they feel they have been scorned in some way. While the man will get the fucking shaft every time, especially from the legal system. Now at least she has proof, so she can roll with it.

Clearly Mel is fucked up in the head and is an enraged asshole with serious alcohol and possibly drug problems and I would never defend this type of behavior regardless of ideological affiliation. There is just no place for it at all.

Freeman Hunt said...

Robt C, a moby is someone who pretends to be on a certain side in order to smear it. In this case, Tidy pretends to be a conservative Christian to paint conservative Christians as a bunch of crazy, antisemitic haters. He's easy to spot because reads like an Andrew Sullivan Christianist wet dream rather than an actual conservative Christian.

Shit, all that's worth punching anybody in the mouth. (If she was a man, she'd get much, much worse, fucking with somebody's kid.) According to the rules, he's going to lose - no matter what - so he might as well bust her in the chops and make the punishment worth it.

Tidy is a sophist. This country was founded as a secular enterprise that welcomed Anglicans, Catholics, Presbyterians, Quakers and Jews to express themselves and worship in freedom. Christ and Christians do not need special protection any more than all faiths need a peaceful community. We do pray for the Government, for Governors and Legislators and those in authority over us that they be given courage and wisdom to keep the community in peace and prosperity. Without a peaceful community with resources, sending ministers out to proclaim the Gospel is much more difficult.

Where'd you hear that? The early states had established religions. Back then, it was the Baptists arguing against states supporting religions.

That's really what strikes me in all of this. The guy had lots of worshiping fans and (still) has more money than God. Yet clearly he's so profoundly unhappy he can't make it though the day without getting drunk out of his mind. It's sad, but beyond that it's... weird.

Drip, drip, drip . . . . Crash!

Mel needs to get in touch with the humility part of Christianity. Fast!

Counseling? Well, ok--but prostrate before God seems to be his approved ideal, though not his M.O. Lie down and pray, Mel.

(Watched a Mel movie on TV last night: "We were Soldiers Once . . . " Based on one of the best books I've ever read. Crappy movie with lots of Hollywood cliche. But I still cried at the end. Not for Mel, but for a close friend who died in a similar ambush about three years later. My friend was a mild, funny, scholarly guy who became an infantry lieutenant out of a sense of patriotic and personal duty. He did amazingly brave things the night he died. His name is Steve Drake. RIP Steve."

David said...

Which leads me to the question I asked myself last night: "Why do fine men like Steve fight and die to enable us to live in our self indulgent, fucked up society?"

Lie down and pray.

You're right, HDHouse, that there wasn't any great defense of Polanski in Hollywood over his 2009 arrest. But back in 1977, at the time of his original offense, a lot of folks went to bat for him, including, astonishingly, his probation officer, Irwin Gold, father of the LA Weekly's Pulitzer prize winning food critic Johnathan Gold, who recommended that Polanski be sentenced to probation without jail time because his actions that night were "spontaneous," the teen-age girl in question was both "physically mature" and "willing," and her mother was "permissive."

In addition, said Gold, Polanski had seen a lot of suffering in his life already. His wife, Sharon Tate, was murdered by the Manson Family. Polanski's mother and father suffered horribly in the Holocaust and, given his fractured European upbringing, Polanski may not have realized that anal intercourse with a 13 year old girl was wrong.

"Possibly not since Renaissance Italy has there been such a gathering of creative minds in one locale as there has been in Los Angeles County during the past half century," wrote Gold. "While enriching the community with their presence, they have brought with them the manners and mores of their native lands which in rare instances have been at variance with those of their adoptive land.”

It's insanity. Not clinical, but insane, twisted thinking. Also, Eric, it's like all of it - it isn't not enough. It's never enough, never good enough. With all his religious talk, he's got a hole in his soul big enough to drive a Mack truck through. He's lost. He's so f**king lost.

Right is right! said...

Dead Julius, it is clear that Mel Gibson knows that he has many demons. He also in his better moments knows he is a sinner and has accepted Jesus as his savior. Roman Polanski on the other hand has been smirking and thumbing his nose at society for the past thirty five years.

Oh yeah, he's going to lose only because he's admitted to punching her in the face and breaking her teeth. Maybe not face criminal charges, but the civil consequences are going to fuck him over. I can certainly see what you mean about making it worth it. If you are going to fuck something up, then I say at least do it right.

There is only one reason and one reason alone to even hit a woman and for me that would be to defend myself against her. However, I'll be the judge of what constitutes my defense against her. If a woman wants to play like a man, well, she better learn how to take it like one, but beyond that, I can't see any excuse to hit a woman. Does that make me non-normal compared to your normal or a reconstructed man? Nope, I think I just have a better tolerance threshold then you do. :D

I'm curious how many people who were shocked by the Journolist leaks are reveling in and spreading the Mel Gibson recording.

The end of The Passion shows Gibson's own hand, apparently, hammering a nail into Jesus' hand. That's an admission of his own sins, his sins that brought the need for the cross.

So, while I don't defend him at all, it does seem he understands his sins as sins, probably doing a lot of private penance.

Maybe his next movie should be about King David. They seem to have a lot in common.

Paddy O said...

Also, it's not really as simple as saying he knows he is a sinner, and Jesus forgives him.

David's life shows lots of consequences to his bad behavior, and affected his reign, his family, and his country.

Sin is not excused and allowed to continue simply because past sins have been forgiven. Romans 6:1-2 "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?"

Jason said...

If Mel Gibson does a movie about King David, I hope he does a film adaptation of the hilarious Joseph Heller book "God Knows."

It would help him lighten up a bit.

Why not research before posting your usual drivel?

Not only did Mel Gibson lash out at his now-ex-girlfriend on January 6 and knocked out two of her front teeth and left her bruised, but he also admits he did so on a tape that has recently surfaced...but says she deserved it.

@ Kelly @ 7:50...The country means the USA in 1788. True enough, established religions had been in place in some of the colonies/states, but they were not established to the point that they forbade others. That tolerance was the reason that the USA government had to be formed as secular, on the theory of rendering unto Caesar those things that are Caesar's, to get it ratified.
