"With maggot-y ceilings and rats falling out of the air, it's like the dark ages..."

... chez the New York Times.

Now, let's not everyone start looking for symbolism and meaning here.

Sometimes dead rats and maggots are just dead rats and maggots.

Oh, I thought it was going to be a review of that horrible movie, Ratatouille. Thousands of rats destroy an old woman's home, then take over a restaurant. Can't wait for Ratatouille II when half of Paris is dead from the plague. Can't believe I took my daughter to that filthy piece of trash.

Someone alert PETA. It sounds like mass murder of little creatures is taking place and the newspaper of record is not only just standing by, but is compliant.

Oh, the horror.

I agree with the first two commenters :)

Seems like poetic justice to me.

I can't resist. Where's a Right-wing Oliver Stone or Michael Moore when we need him?

Oh, I could care less about those two.

What I want to see here is Rod Serling walk around the corner with that little smile on his face, and say, "A new building.  A famous newspaper.  An editor with a new promotion and a new desk.  A bright start to another chapter, where enterprise and hard work are rewarded.  Or so it would seem...."

I'm working on the script as we speak.
