All in my brain.

Natural chaos

Interesting contrast. I have no idea about the identity of this plant, but my curiosity is piqued.

Wow... these last two shots are really great. I wish I had taken them.

Wow Anne, nice shots! What brand and model camera? Stock lens?

MAN, ALIVE!!!

And to think we just got done watching two episodes of the "Twilight Zone" Independence Day marathon.

Too much!

Bissage said...

Wait a minute.

I think I might have gotten it all side-ways-a-cated.

Peter said he had no idea about the identity of that planet.

Right?

What a fabulous blend of colour!

P.S. I'm not so computer savvy.

I'll have to set the alarm clock an hour early so I can figure out how to print that photo out, suitable for framing.

Heh.

P.S. That photo looks as good as a Kandinsky, to me, but what do I know?

Bissage said...

No, really.

Good night.

Sleep tight.

Don't let the bedbugs bite.

(Gosh. Just imagine the bedbugs in that universe!)

(YUCK!!!)

All kidding aside, an absolutely beautiful photo.

Thank you.

Wait a minute, I'm back.

(Let me see if I can put this all together.)

That's your brain, and it's a universe, and it's beautiful.

Well then, that settles it.

It all makes sense.

I'm glad you like this one!

This was done with a different camera than the previous one. This is just a little Sony not larger than a deck of cards. The previous on was a Nikon D50.

With cropping and tweaking in iPhoto. Just moving the sliders around to use color and contrast to bring out the structures.

Yeah, that looks like something from a National Geographic special on the brain. All we need is the late great Richard Kiley doing the voice over.

Hey, no one picked up the song reference yet! I thought it was easy....

Kinda hazy, almost nebulas. (That's a nod to Bissage misread of my "planet" comment.)

Peter Hoh said...

Oops. I left off the apostrophe "s." The astral thing is a nod to Bissage reading "plant" in my comment as "planet."

There, have I added enough to the confusion?

Purple Haze?

We're not all hippies, y'know!

Ann Althouse said...

Yeah, "Purple Haze." I wanted to nail that down.

Nice, I can figure out who has blocked me on blogspot by coming here.

Thanks AA.

That was a song reference?

It all went right over my head, but I blame “The Twilight Zone.”

(Two episodes I’d never seen before. ZAP!)

But do you want to know who would have picked right up on that song reference?

That’s right, the rich and famous pop music critic, Steve Simels, that’s who!

He’s really smart.

P.S.

I saw this morning at Flikr that the photo’d been tagged “Pollock-like.”

Well, sure, but it’s got stuff in it!

That make it closer to a Kandinsky.

That’s my story and I’m sticking with it!

your iphoto work is very good...

"happy 4th" should be the title
